
Drogheda Festivals and Scotch Hall Shopping Centre Announce Collaboration for St Patrick’s Festival 2026
Drogheda Festivals and Scotch Hall Shopping Centre are delighted to announce their continued collaboration for this year’s St Patrick’s Festival, taking place from Saturday 15th to Tuesday 17th March, with events commencing at Scotch Hall Shopping Centre.
The 2026 festival theme is Panto, celebrating a remarkable 75 years of the Drogheda Pantomime Society, a much-loved institution that has brought joy ,laughter and creativity to generations of families across the town and beyond. This year’s programme will embrace the colour, fun and theatrical spirit of pantomime while celebrating Drogheda’s rich cultural traditions.

Speaking about the festival, Sarah Taaffe, Chairperson of Drogheda Festivals, said:
“We are thrilled to once again collaborate with Scotch Hall on the St Patrick’s Festival. This year’s Panto theme is a very special one, marking 75years of the Drogheda Pantomime Society, which has played such an important role in our cultural life. The festival is about celebrating community, creativity and heritage, and we’re excited to deliver a programme that offers something for everyone.”
Across the four days, festival-goers can enjoy a wide range of events including live traditional Irish music and dancing, céilís, free family entertainment, a spectacular fireworks display, a Leprechaun treasure hunt as Gaeilge, Irish culture and heritage workshops, and much more.
The centre-piece of the festival will be the St Patrick’s Day Parade on Tuesday 17th March, which will see the streets of Drogheda come alive with colour, performance and community spirit.
