Ireland’s Favourite Local Business 2026 gives people the chance to win a share of €2,000 in Town & City Gift Cards, such as the Love Drogheda Gift Card.
Drogheda residents are being encouraged to nominate their favourite local businesses in a national Ireland’s Favourite Local Business competition, which has €2,000 in Love Drogheda Gift Cards as a possible prize.
Backed by Drogheda BID, people can nominate their favourite local business in the competition, free, by giving the name of the local business they think deserves to win and a reason.
Shops, restaurants, salons, hotels, attractions and services in Drogheda and surrounding areas are all eligible to be Ireland’s Favourite Local Business 2026.
Ireland’s Favourite Local Business 2026 will win a €1,000 Town & City Gift Card, such as the Love Drogheda Gift Card, with one person who nominated the winning business receiving a €1,000 Town & City Gift Card.
Love Drogheda BID launched the Love Drogheda Gift Card in 2020 with almost €1 million in cards sold to date. The card can be spent with over 240 local businesses including big brands like Aldi, Smyths Toys and Tesco, plus an array of independent businesses like You’re Gorgeous Hair, The Design Gallery, Arrow Tours, Boyne Valley Hotel, D’Vine Bistro, Connolly and Moore, and many more.

The Love Drogheda Gift Card is part of the multi-award winning Town & City Gift Cards concept from fintech Miconex, active across Ireland. Over €17.4m in Town & City Gift Cards were sold in 2025.
