Drogheda's ratepayer organisation, Love Drogheda BID (Business Improvement District), is thrilled to announce the successful completion of its Flower Grant Initiative for 2025,which has significantly enhanced the town centre's visual appeal. The initiative saw a substantial commitment of over €7,700 from the organisation, contributing to a more beautiful and vibrant town.
Since its inception, the Love Drogheda Flower Grant has experienced remarkable growth, starting with just a handful of participants and expanding to over 40 businesses applying for the grant this year.
The Flower Grant Initiative operates on a shared funding model: Love Drogheda BID contributes per window box or hanging basket, with the ratepayer covering the remaining balance. With most businesses installing four or more stunning floral displays, Drogheda now boasts over 100 additional floral displays. These add a vibrant splash of colour and charm to the town centre. This initiative, among others, is part of Love Drogheda BID's ongoing commitment to presenting our town in the best possible light.
Sarah Taaffe, Love Drogheda BID’s chairperson commented “Love Drogheda BID is proud to have partnered with our ratepayer members on this successful initiative and looks forward to continuing its efforts to support and enhance the town's appeal.”
