Drogheda residents urged to give back this festive season, with €1,500 in gift cards to be won
Drogheda organisations, charities and people can all be nominated in The BIG Christmas Giveback - with €1500 in Love Drogheda Gift Cards as a possible prize
Drogheda residents could be taking home a share of€1,500 in Love Drogheda Gift Cards this festive season by nominating unsung heroes in the community.
Backed by Love Drogheda BID, The BIG Christmas Giveback, is a national competition which asks for nominations for local people, community groups and organisations in Drogheda and beyond who are having a positive impact in their community.
The person or organisation with the most nominations in the competition will win a €1000 Town & City Gift Card, such as the Love Drogheda Gift Card, with one person who nominated them winning a €500 gift card.
Led by Love Drogheda BID, the Love Drogheda Gift Card can be spent with over 230 local businesses and is available to buy for both consumers and organisations. Over €736,000 of cards have been sold to date, all supporting Drogheda businesses.
Trevor Connolly, CEO of Love Drogheda BID, said: “Since its launch in 2020, the Love Drogheda Gift Card has been a positive force for good in our economy, generating over €736,000 in sales which is ring-fenced into our economy, and offering zero commission for businesses to accept the card. The BIG Christmas Giveback aligns with the ethos of the Love Drogheda Gift Card which is to give back to our community. We have many outstanding charities, community groups and individuals in Drogheda that deserve to be recognised for their work, so please take a moment to nominate them.”
The Love Drogheda Gift Card is part of the award winning Town & City Gift Card concept from fintech Miconex active across Ireland.
