The proponents of LOVEDROGHEDA believe that the future prosperity and well being of Drogheda City is very much dependent on the ability of its people to work together. Many of the projects we are proposing are dependent on groups of people in Drogheda coming together and collaborating.

It is a proven fact that towns and cities that collaborate, are economically and socially vibrant, attract inward investment and funding, are progressive and places that people want to make home.

Many of the projects proposed will involve the BID company and rate payers working together with many organisations in Drogheda and collaborating to make the projects happen. This means conducting business in a positive, respectful and constructive manner.

The Christmas Lighting across the centre of town has been on ongoing project for Love Drogheda BID and one that we are investing in continuously. Alongside the maintenance and storage of the Christmas Lights, we undertake reviews on the lights year and year so we can identify where the investment is needed.

The Christmas lights provide such a warm holiday atmosphere for members of the public and signal the start of the busy retail season for businesses. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions we could not have the traditional switching on ceremony that the town and its people deserved in 2021, but we hope that in 2022 our Christmas Light Switch-On Event on Friday November 18th will help bring the Christmas Spirit that the town deserves.
